1. Choose the kind of trip you want
A morning safari is shorter and focuses on outdoor activities. An evening safari adds sunset, camp time, dinner and scheduled entertainment. An overnight trip continues into the night and morning. Pick the plan that fits your day, not only the photo on the package page.
2. Read the full list of inclusions
Check whether the tour includes pickup, dune driving, sandboarding, camel time, dinner and shows. Quad bikes, dune buggies, VIP seating and professional photos may be optional extras. Ask about anything that is not clear.
3. Confirm your pickup point
Send the full hotel or home address. Ask for the pickup window, meeting point and return location in writing. Keep your phone on during the confirmed window.
4. Be honest about your needs
Share children’s ages, mobility needs, food allergies and any health concern that may affect an adventure ride. The operator can explain what is available for the exact package. If you have a medical concern, speak with a qualified health professional before choosing a bumpy activity.
5. Keep your schedule flexible
Shared pickups, traffic, weather and camp timing can change the day. Avoid a tight dinner reservation or airport transfer after an evening safari.
6. Bring only what you need
Wear comfortable clothes and secure shoes. Protect your phone from sand, bring sun protection for daylight, and consider a light layer for a cooler evening. Our separate [what to wear guide](/blog/what-to-wear-desert-safari-dubai) has more clothing tips.
