Can you get vegetarian food on safari?
Many evening desert camps offer vegetarian dishes, and the current classic evening package lists vegetarian choices with its buffet. Menus can differ between camps and dates, so confirm the meal for the tour you are booking.
Tell the team before the safari
When you send a booking request, say how many guests need vegetarian food. If your diet is strict, explain what ingredients you avoid. Some guests avoid meat but still eat dairy or eggs; others do not. Clear details help the team give a useful answer.
Ask whether the buffet has a separate vegetarian selection and whether staff can identify dishes. Do not rely on a menu photo or another guest's report as a promise for your date.
If you have more than one food need
Share allergies, vegan requirements or Jain preferences separately. A vegetarian dish may still contain dairy, eggs, nuts or other ingredients. Ask what the kitchen can confirm and whether there is a risk of cross-contact.
Check the tour, not only the meal
A morning or adventure-only package may not include dinner. Read the exact inclusions and ask before booking if a meal is important to your plan. Your written confirmation is the best place to keep the answer.
See the current evening safari package, which lists the meal details, and read our Dubai desert safari FAQ for other planning questions.
